Juicing for Your Blood Type

Over the years of unhealthy eating, I have had some painful issues regarding inflammation. I have had gout, joint pain in my shoulder and severe knee pain. I heard about the Blood Type Diet and initially laughed…there is always a scam or fad diet of some kind.

However, I know a few people that swear by the Blood Type Diet, so I started integrating some of the foods into my diet. The benefits have been good so far. No gout attacks for two years plus. I also started dropping some of the weight. Also, I stopped eating a lot of the items I was NOT SUPPOSED TO EAT. Just by doing those two things, I lost 40 pounds over 4 years.

I Am Blood Type A

The good news is that a juice fast consisting of mostly green leafy vegetables is highly compatible for my blood type. However, the list of what I can have has been split up into three different lists.

  • Highly Beneficial – Act as medicine
  • Neutral – Good for you
  • Foods to Avoid – Promote illness and inflammation

Fruits & Vegetables to AVOID for Blood Type A

This is the list of fruits and vegetables to avoid if you have blood type A. You may love some of them, but have probably noticed that you don’t feel your best when you eat them. Giving them up can promote a healthier you. A lot of juices call for a tomato base. Since it is on this list, and if you are blood type A, do it on rare occasion if you must.

Vegetables to AVOID include:

  • Cabbage
  • Eggplant
  • Domestic Mushrooms
  • Olives – Black, Greek
  • Peppers – Red, Yellow, Green, Jalapeno
  • Potatoes of any kind
  • Tomatoes – A large juice base in the world of juicing. Big No, No for us Type A Blood Types!
  • Yams

Fruits AVOID include:

  • Bananas
  • Cantaloupe
  • Honeydew Melons
  • Coconuts – Damn…I was really looking forward to coconut water on this fast after workouts!
  • Mangoes
  • Oranges – Shit!!! I freaking love orange juice!
  • Papaya
  • Plantains – Texas de Brazil for fried bananas.
  • Rhubarb
  • Tangerines

The primary reason I am interested in these lists is due to the past joint pain and imflammation I have had.  I wish I had time to post other blood types, but this blog is about juicing. I just happen to be type A and list my data. For more information, I recommend doing a search for blood type diet in Amazon. Look at the vegetables that are good for you and juice them. I am sure the results could be magical.
